Fox has just announced that a future episode of The Simpsons will end with a live Q&A session with the one and only Homer Simpson. It will be aired on May 15th.

Homer, voiced by Dan Castelleneta, will answer questions for the final three minutes of the episode, which will be broadcast live on both the East and West coasts of America.

Although making a cartoon live can be tricky, showrunner Al Jean told The Hollywood Reporter that the short session has been in preparation for months, and motion capture technology will be used in which “Homer’s voice and motions will be depicted in an animated scene talking about things he could only be saying live on that day.”

Jean added that the live segment ties in with the improvised comedy theme of the episode, and that “Dan is a great improviser.”

To get involved with the action, tweet your questions for homer between the 1st and 4th of May using the hashtag #HomerLive.
