A few months ago, The Streets shocked the world when they announced they would be re-uniting in 2018 for a greatest hits tour and today they surprised fans even more by releasing two new tracks!
The group’s new singles are the group’s first pieces of new material in five years and both tracks carry a tone reminiscent of their older work. “Burn Bridges” sees Mike Skinner tackle a slow and dark instrumental using his distinct and laid-back style. Despite the dreary title of the record, which is also quite a mouthful, “Sometimes I Hate My Friends More Than My Enemies” is an upbeat record which prompts Skinner to channel a livelier mood.
The Streets are set to commence their greatest hits tour in April 2018 but judging by their two new tracks, the group just might perform some new material too.
