From what certain reports suggest, Jay Z is allegedly looking to bail out on the already troubled streaming service. This ambitious project has personally cost him millions of dollars having not been able to secure the expected funding.
Rather than bleeding himself dry it is rumoured he will quit Tidal very soon as he still hasn’t paid the licensing fees to the right holders (dear oh dear), and it’s pretty much safe to say no one is going to bail him out on this one.
Everyone is interested to see what his exit strategy will be in this situation. Ironically it’s not the labels killing off Tidal but Cash Money with their copyright-infringement law suit against the service for its recent exclusive with Cash Money label artist Lil Wayne.
