Bonkaz first single “We Run The Block” has shaken up the scene, cementing itself as one of the biggest hits to break through the underground this year.
Following a seriously genius marketing plan which included keeping the track completely offline (show performances, club and radio only) for a good few months before delivering the official video, Bonkaz obsession with preserving the art form has pushed him into the upper echelon of artists doing it right now in the UK.
Whilst the track has been pioneered by Grime’s heavyweights including the likes of Preditah and Logan Sama, the Croydon new generation pioneer is providing a remix for every taste. First off we heard a performance only (that’s right – it still is nowhere to be seen online) version with some additional verses from London heavy-hitters P Money, Jendor, Mikill Pane, Youngs Teflon and Kojey Radical, then a dance infused remix from Disturbing London’s producers All About She and finally, a more bass heavy version from producers The Writers Block.
