Producer Darq E Freaker has dropped his first release of 2016, enlisting D Double E for his insane new single “Spin A Man”.
While D Double keeps things grimy with his trademark , rave-shutdown-ing adlibs, Darq E Freakers production is more influenced by American trap. It’s loaded up with huge, booming, speaker-destroying 808 drums, a menacing home for the live lyrics.
The London-born producer said to The Fader, “”I thought pairing D Double spitting double time with a more American beat would be a cool way of placing him in a new sonic environment without compromising his character.”
The song is expected to appear on Darq E Freaker’s as-of-yet untitled new project this year. Catch D Double E’s new VIP version of the classic “Street Fighter Riddim” here, as well as his collaboration with another producer, Dirty Danger, right here too.
