2016 has already proved to be a great year for fans of UK grime and rap. Not only as there been a list of up and coming artists to watch for [#NewGen2016 anyone?], we have the return of some legendary artists, including President T, Mr Wong and D Double E. Even on the latest episode of New Gen Radio, there was a real nostalgic feel as Chip brought through Bruza, Double S and Terror Danjah for his #Blukubyebye set. With all of this new music and the return of big names, it reminds us of our roots and the distance we have come in such a short space of time. And what better way to take us back then a classic Risky Roadz freestyle…

While the return of Risky Roadz has seen him pop up for the video treatment on Skepta’s “That’s Not Me (Remix)“, drop a 2016 freestyle with Ghetts and film an epic “return” cypher with the likes of Big Zuu, Skepta and Shorty for Novelist’s birthday set, we are all eagerly awaiting Risky Roadz 3. But to keep us happy, Risky has dropped a freestyle with Essex rapper Devlin.

The freestyle shows us that Devlin is still one of the finest rappers of his generation as he flows effortlessly over the beat, dropping punchline after metaphor and everything in between. The freestyle also builds anticipation for his upcoming album ‘Devlin Inn’, due out later this year.
