Noisey recently released a brief documentary online, which saw them send DJ Barely Legal to South Africa to explore the music scene out there and meet up with a native artist.
She visited the once segregated Cape Flats neighborhood in Cape Town to meet up with Dope Saint Jude, an independent artist from the country.
The pair discussed their influences in music and the similarities that they have despite cultural differences. They touched on family, finding their creative voices and connecting with people like them.
Check out the documentary in full above now, before reminding yourself of what happened when they sent Little Simz to South Africa right here on GRM Daily too.
