Geko, the Manchester-based artist who’s notoriety and popularity seems to be ever blowing up through the roof, is back with a brand new visual.

The new track, called “Downstairs”, is anchored by an afro-beat tempo in the instrumental, which he shines on with an auto-tune enhanced delivery. The video itself has Geko and his boys take the party to the streets, in a typical net visual.

The song incorporates a couple of melodies from other tunes – notable WSTRN’s chart smash “In2” and Fetty Wap’s infectious single “My Way“, which add some familiarity to the fun track. Watch the video above and enjoy the vibes.

Extra Geko info:

Geko recently dropped a new EP, the stellar ‘Baba’ project. It’s a 5-track tape well worth a listen from the Northern MC. Check it out right here.

We mentioned “In2”, the ear-worm chart banger from WSTRN. Geko was handpicked to feature on the remix, alongside Wretch 32 and Chip. Watch that video right here.

He might be from up North, but he’s also clearly got a strong London fan base too. Check out the madness that ensued when he touched down at the O2 Acdemy Islington here – it’s pretty inspiring stuff.
