GRM DAILY ANNOUNCE GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP WITH ‘HOMELANDS’ MUSIC PROJECT

This week GRM DAILY has announced it is to come on board as lead media partner for the HOMELANDS international music project. GRMDAILY operates the UK’s biggest youth entertainment portal, with the most visited Urban music website in the UK.

HOMELANDS is a year-long global music adventure led by PUNCH RECORDS (punch-records.co.uk | @punchrecords) that challenges four leading UK musicians to explore the roots of their music. All artists are traveling abroad on an international residency to write, record and perform with global artists.

PUNCH CEO AMMO TALWAR said “GRM DAILY bring an unrivalled understanding of Black music, of young contemporary audiences and the UK Grime phenomena to our HOMELANDS programme.”

As a result of this new partnership, GRM DAILY will have access to HOMELAND’s four musicians – SHAKKA, SASKILLA, TERRI WALKER and DIZTORTION. This will include:

● Exclusive 15 minute documentaries featuring the highlights each artist’s residency

● Exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with musicians and artists

WHO ARE THE HOMELANDS MUSICIANS?

TERRI WALKER is a Mercury Music prize and MOBO award nominee, singing with TNT, 187 Lockdown and

Shanks & Bigfoot. She was signed to Def Soul in the UK, and will head to JAMAICA, West Indies.

DIZTORTIONis signed to Universal records and is best known for his production and remix work with Sigma

Lethal Bizzle, Stylo G, Wiley, Tinie Tempah and others. He will head to SURINAME, South America

SHAKKAis a 2016 MOBO award winner, one of MTV’s Top 20 Unsigned a Youtube hits with his Shakkapellas.

He’s worked with Wretch 32, Basement Jaxx and Angel, and will head to DOMINICA, West Indies

SASKILLA began MCing at the age of 15and has played a role in the development of the UK Grime scene,

forming NuBrandFlexxx and featuring as a member of RollDeep. He will head to SENEGAL,WestAfrica
