British actor Idris Elba hosted Saturday Night Live and detailed his American humble beginnings in his opening monologue and later showed off his comedy skills in some hilarious skits.
Idris opened the show with his individual take on the SNL monologue and detailed his journey to America and early beginnings in New York. Idris reveals that he started out as a doorman for a comedy club and would sell weed to make ends meet. He also detailed going to a party hosted by Bad Boy Records which inspired him to keep pursuing acting during a time of frustration and uncertainty.
The actor later appeared in several sketches including one called The Impossible Hulk which you can see below.
