Gearing up for the release of his sixth studio album is J. Cole who has gifted us with two brand-new singles entitled “The Climb Back” and “Lion King On Ice”.
Self-produced by Cole himself, “The Climb Back” carries Cole’s familiar sound which he uses to display his much-loved lyricism and song-making abilities. “Lion King On Ice”, on the other hand, is co-produced by Cole, T-Minus and Jetson and sees the rapper take on a more upbeat and contemporary instrumental while reflecting on his journey thus far.
“The Climb Back” and “Lion King On Ice” are taken from his forthcoming album, The Fall Off, which is still yet to receive a release date. The two new singles come after J. Cole recently wrote an essay for The Players’ Tribune where he hinted at retiring from music soon.
