Jaykae is the latest artist to take on a Radio 1Xtra Live Lounge session, covering the classic “Candy” by Cameo.
Birmingham based MC Jaykae has had a huge amount of success over the past year, his track being featured on the US television series Power being just one of the big moments in his career. This time, Jaykae took the 1Xtra Live Lounge to give us his take on the classic soul track, “Candy”. Previously covered by Will Smith and featured on Grand Theft Auto, the track which was first released in 1986 is still receiving a lot of appreciation. A grime artist on a soul track isn’t your average cover but Jaykae smashes it.
