Little Simz returns with her new track “Offence”.

The North London hailing rapper is confident and focused in her lyrics over the heavy hitting instrumental which merges flutes, filtered vocals, drums and bass. The artist demands respect in the lyrics and the song features a bossy and assertive chorus.

The cover art which features children in army gear was shot by Simz herself.

The fiery new record premiered on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music Beats 1 Radio show. Speaking on the track, Little Simz said, “For “Offence”, I just wanted it to feel very unapologetic, very ballsy, and I think times like this especially, the current state of the way the world is, it’s not time to be silenced”.

The new track will likely appear on her upcoming third album which Simz completed in August according to her recent posts on social media. Little Simz recently gave fans a preview of new music with a performance of her new track “Selfish” at Lowlands Festival in the Netherlands.

Her new album will be her most recent release since her Stillness in Wonderland project in 2016.

Little Simz recently appeared in Europe and the US on the Humanz Tour for British virtual band, The Gorillaz. She also recently revealed that she auditioned for the role of Shuri, The Princess of Wakanda in the Marvel superhero film Black Panther, however, The role went to Letitia Wright. On Black Panther, Simz said, “I auditioned for it and obviously I didn’t get it. My friend Letitia got it, which is still a win for me.
