Loyle Carner’s emotional track “Sun of Jean”, from his massively successful album Yesterdays Gone, has had visuals dropped today.
The song is an ode to his mum Jean, who is inherent in the 21 year old rapper’s musical career in terms of inspiration. The piano sample in the tune is played by his late step-dad.
The video shows Loyle and his mum together in and around their house as well as other mum and sons just spending time together in a beautifully simplistic video. It ends with his mum’s poem she wrote for her son being read whilst showing the clear bond between the two.
