The legend that is Popcaan has dropped visuals for his single “Numbers Don’t Lie”.
Popcaan drifts into this track smoothly as he uses a cohesive nature and warms up to the beat subtlety for the listener. Pop uses his signature jumpy and melodic flow, giving him stand out presence amongst the whole sound as usual.
The production follow a simplistic manner, which aids the vocals nicely and doesn’t overcomplicate the sound. The melodies however, are slightly more complex with use of creative layering.
As for the visuals, the setting is Jamaica that pairs well with symbolism that nods towards the artist’s upbringing and the story of the grind. We see scene division of chapter one (Growth), chapter two (The Hustle) and chapter three (The Come Up).
