R&B singer and songwriter Ray BLK passed through the 1Xtra Live Lounge to drop a moving cover of Stormzy’s hit “Blinded By Your Grace”.
The London-based artist lived up to expectations, blessing the original track with warming and passionate vibes that were a welcome adaptation from the initial version. Backed by live instruments and a communal choir, Ray BLK’s performance had the lounge in awe, with one listener exclaiming ”wow” at the end of the performance.
Hailing from Catford, Ray BLK once again played her position as one of the UK’s leading homegrown vocal talents. This was somewhat inevitable in light of her recent success, following on from her winning the BBC’s Sound of 2017 award.
