Following up from the release of the track ‘Carolina’ last month, Rayf is back with a brand new track – ‘More Life’.

Rayf – who goes by Toni Turn Up for production – says that his sound “echoes the wish fulfilment of the rapidly emerging ambient post dubstep style R&B” and it has been described as “a post grime merge between Grime and R&B”. On the tracks ‘Carolina’ and ‘More Life’, Rayf can be heard fusing the sounds of R&B and Grime, combining Grime samples with distorted vocals and melodies to create a distinct sound alike to that of James Blake and FKA twigs.

With Rayf hailing from East London, you’ll be able to hear lyrics like “I used to bump Dizzee when I used to play around” and “I’m in the East so you know what I’m playing ’round.”

With a project in the works – titled “Monkey” – you’ll most likely be seeing and hearing more from Rayf/Toni Turn Up in the near future. You’ll be able to catch up with what’s happening with Rayf over on Twitter and we’ll keep you posted when we hear more.
