A truly dynamic duo, Skepta and Wiz Kid, return to spread the message of “Energy (Stay Far Away)” in their latest visuals. If the vibes of an audio version wasn’t enough, they have teamed up to release a cinematic video to accompany their track, true to their African heritage.
Opting for a video-cam effect throughout, it most importantly sheds light on their surroundings of Lagos, Nigeria. The production by Sars also plays an significant role as it infuses the instrumental with an up-tempo sound effortlessly enough to match the versatility of both artists, making it an authentic afrobeat masterpiece.
This may be the pair’s first “official” collaboration, however we cannot forget when they previously brought their talents together in 2015 on a remix of Wizkid’s “Ojuelegba”, which also featured fellow BBK member Drake.
Just as summer rolls into an end, we have the North LondongGrime legend and Nigeria’s very own Starboy to thank for still feeding us with that good energy we need.
