It’s pretty common knowledge that Wretch 32 and Avelino have a close friendship. But the pair have an even more significant musical tie – with many regarding Avelino’s immense and poetic wordplay as the closest thing to 32 that we will see coming out of the new generation.
With constant homage being shown from Avelino towards his mentor, it seemed only a matter of time before the pair would go back to back on a project of their own. Visiting Charlie Sloth on BBC 1xtra for a joint Fire In The Both, Wretch announced that they will be dropping a surprise mixtape next week entitled ‘Young Fire Old Flame’.
