So, it turns out Apple Music are pretty protective over their breadwinner Drake.
Lil Wayne was hosting a benefit concert for his Tha Carter Fund on the 10th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, where Drake had a set. Apple Music were not pleased when they found out and he would be appearing on TIDAL’s live stream of the show, and threatened to sue TIDAL if any of his set was shown. Apparently Drake would be breaching his contract with the brand new service if he appears on TIDAL, and Apple would be forced to sue.
Considering the way we’ve seen head honcho Jay Z tweet in the past (note: the use of ‘1/2′ and 2/2’) we’re pretty sure these messages from the TIDAL Twitter account came straight from Jay’s fingers.
