With PS4 sales slowing down, a 2020 release date for the PS5 is looking increasingly likely.
Following the news that year-on-year PS4 sales have dropped by almost a million, it was revealed earlier this week that Sony stock has dropped by 8%.
According to the Assymetric Advisors analyst Amir Anvarzadeh, the reduced sales indicates the beginning of the end for the PS4.
Speaking to Bloomberg, Anvarzadeh said : “”There is more downside as we believe slowing growth in its games division signals a very likely PS5 launch for next fiscal year and the ensuing costs that come with the launch of a new platform”.
Recent reports speculated a big reveal of the PS5 in mid-2019 before it’s unveiled officially at the PlayStation Experience event.
