Unicode Consortium has created the final emoji list for 2019 ready to hit platforms at some point this year.
230 new emojis are set to come to your phone screens in the sixth major update since 2014. Among the additions to the emoji family include an orangutan, waffles, an ice cube, a Hindu temple, a Guide Dog, as well as the much requested white heart.
Each year, Unicode try and support as many groups as they can. In 2015 they added extra skin tones, 2016 increased representation of women, 2017 looked more into gender inclusive people and 2018 looked into hair colours. This year various disabilities have been added to the emojis.
