A 5000 strong crowd packed the Barcelona arena to watch indie rock band Love of Lesbian perform to the largest crown Europe has seen in over a year.
Spanish authorities sought to use the event as the first trial run to see if rapid testing could effectively prevent a sudden spike in Covid cases.
The concert unfolded amongst growing pressure for EU governments to find new systems to help save the events industry.
Those in attendance were able to witness a brief glimpse of pre-covid life. However, until the following weeks have passed, the scheme cannot yet be dubbed a unanimous success.
