The lead up to summer is always a big time for trainer releases and this year is no different. This week sees hip-hop collabs released alongside a brand new Palace x Adidas drop, and a new pack of everyone’s ‘marmite’ trainer, the Huarache.
Nike Dunk SB Premium x De La Soul
The first of this week’s key releases is a definite collector’s item for any hip-hop head, with Nike and De La Soul releasing brand new versions of their 2005 Dunk to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the OG collaboration.
The low silhouette is comprised of Baroque Brown suede panelling and Altitude Green elephant print leather around the toebox. The shoe’s key feature is the vinyl holographic upper of Soul’s iconic’ 3 Feet High’ album artwork, and the pair is finished with bright green laces, upper sole and Nike swoosh.
The high top edition of the collab is a re-release of the edition brought out in Feb’, completed in premium white leather and finished with the same ‘3 Feet High’ artwork on a vinyl holographic upper.
Both the high-top restock and first release of the lows will be released on the 16th May from Nike, slamcityskates and scenepreston amongst other retailers. Grab the lows for $135 and highs for $150.

Palace Skateboards x Adidas Originals SS15
Palace and Adidas have been on fire with their collaborative collections recently, and just to add a little more hype to one of the most talked about releases of the year, the pair are also releasing a capsule crep collection to go alongside the clothes. Oh yeah, and they’ve made this weird hypno-grime promo video with D Double E to persuade you to cop.
The first of the two silhouettes is the Adidas Palace Pro Primeknit, bringing Adidas’ pioneering technology into the skate world though a brand new silhouette. The shoe has the Gazelle’s sole and mouldable tongue, but Adidas have introduced Primeknit between the three stripes on the upper for added comfort, which is also carried across the toebox. The shoe is available in two colourways; black/white & gum or white & grey.
The other half of the release is the Adidas Palace Pro. This silhouette features Palace branding in Adidas’ signature style across premium perforated suede and the shoe features a moulded sockliner for comfort. The Pro is released in a grey & white or black & white colourway.
The collection is released 16th May primarily from Wellgosh, and is strictly limited to one pair per customer, with the Primeknits priced at £119.95 and Pros at £89.95. (Photo cred. Wellgosh)

Nike Air Huarache City Pack
Love them or hate them, Huaraches are always going to sell like wildfire. This week Nike have released a “city pack” of the controversial silhouette, each shoe dedicated to four of Europe’s most loved cities. The colourways of the shoes have been inspired by the transport systems of the cities, and were released on the 14th of May.
London’s pair of course displays red and blue, Milan looks hot in red and white, Paris’ edition comes in white and green and Berlin walks in black and yellow. Each colourway is finished with an interesting translucent heel strap matching the sole, and each city’s name is proudly written across the bottom of the shoe.
The pack is available from the 00:01am on the 14th of May at lead stockist Urbanindustry, as well as nike, size?, Wellgosh and END among other retailers, priced at around £95.
