This weekend L.A rapper, Nip$ey Hussle touched down in London. Last time due to unforeseen circumstances Nip$ey was unable to preform for his UK supporters, thus, the “All Money In” boss didn’t waste any time on this visit.
While most artists come over to England and enjoy what the country has to offer, Nip got straight down to business.

For those who were proud to pay for items, or couldn’t get a ticket to his sold out show at the 02 in Islington, this was another way to catch Nip and his crew in the flesh.
The doors to the O2 Academy opened at 7pm and it didn’t take long for the venue to fill up, opening up for Nipsey was one of the UK’s talented lyricists, Nick Brewer. Performing tracks from his latest EP ‘Warning Light’, the home grown talent didn’t disappoint and had captured the attention of the audience with his unique sound.

Once Nick had done his thing on stage, DJ Semtex took to the decks juggling through some current bangers and previous hits to set the ambience for the main attraction.
After a period of time, DJ V.I.P, who is Nipsey’s official selector made his way onto the stage to prep for his set, excitement oozed through the crowd as it was just a short time until The Crenshaw rapper made his entrance.

Finally the moment arrived for Young Nip to kick off his UK show. While most artists come out to a track which would gas the crowd, the rapper took the subtle approach coming out to “All Get Right’, the chorus of the track which goes;
“Turn off the lights, turn up my mic, Roll up some flight,lets all get right Its that shit you’ve waited for your whole fucking life Its that shit you’ve waited for you whole fucking life.”
It was clear that this was the most fitting and perfect tune to kick off the show, which was quickly drowned out by the crowd singing along. Nip raised the energy levels as DJ V.I.P dropped “Checc Me Out”, followed by “U See Us”, which turned the crowd into an ultimate frenzy.

Nipsey filtered through some of his previous classic material from hits like “Rose Clique” to “Hussle In The House”, Nip even asked the crowd what they wanted to hear. The crowd were treated to hand picked favourite singles from past mixtapes like ‘The Marathon Continues’ (one, two and three), ‘The Bullets Got No Name’ trilogy, ‘Crenshaw’ and the most recent game changer ‘Mailbox Money’.
Even when the show came to an end Nip proceeded to ask the crowd where his day one supporters were by drawing for his breakout single “Hussle in the House”.
Nipsey Hussle closed the show by showing massive appreciation and gratitude for the overwhelming reception, accompanied by popping a bottle of champagne on stage and sprayed everywhere in celebration.
It’s said Nipsey Hu$$le is set to return to the UK again this year, so if you missed out on this occasion be sure to keep your eyes and ears peeled on more information on ticket releases.
