Ian Wright, Sergio Aguero, Didier Drogba, Vincent Kompany, Peter Schmeichel and Paul Scholes have been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame!

The six legends join Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer, David Beckham, Dennis Bergkamp, Eric Cantona, Steven Gerrard, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard, Patrick Vieira and Wayne Rooney – the latter two who were inducted last month – in the Hall of Fame.

The new new inductees were selected via a public vote and from the Premier League Awards Panel.

The PL Hall of Fame recognises and honours players that have made significant contribution to the league and the six new players have definitely enjoyed much success.

Ian Wright won the Premier League with Arsenal in 1998 and scored 113 goals across 213 outings.

Wright’s ex-England teammate Paul Scholes spent his entire career at Manchester United where he won 11 titles and scored 107 times.

Former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero – who retired back in December – is the league’s highest-scoring overseas player with 184 goals, netting 184 goals between 2011 and 2021.

Aguero’s ex-teammate and captain Kompany also assisted City in many of their triumphs and won four PL titles with the club.

Across two spells at Chelsea, Drogba scored 104 goals in 254 appearances and won the title four times.

Schmeichel is the first goalkeeper to be added to the Hall of Fame. He won five titles with Manchester United and ended his career with 128 clean sheets.
