Hot on the trail of his 2022 album King’s Disease III, the legendary Nas has released a table-shaking new track, “One Mic, One Gun” with fellow world-renowned rapper, 21 Savage.

The pair revel in their success, flexing their greatness in bars that express pride in their respective statuses, financial prowess and ever-growing careers, which is refreshing to see after 21 caused a stir by saying Nas wasn’t relevant anymore in a recent interview.

The song is a sonically-rich experience. With the ability to continue to drop high-quality music in the context of a career that started out in the 90s, Nas continues to cement his place as one of the hip-hop greats. In collaboration with 21, a modern-day rap icon and UK-born/US-bred artist (you decide), we see the union of rap excellence from two generations.

As Nas declares, the song showcases “two kings… sending love to the whole culture.”
