17-year-old rap wonderkid and instrumentalist Nino SLG has returned with his sophomore EP titled Mirror Story.

Fashioning production from Finn Wigan, Mack Jamieson, Kyle Evans, KURISU, Luke Grieve, as well as Nino himself; the five-track ensemble features Nino’s signature drill-flavoured introspection, coupled with woozy crooning.

Tape opener “Monster” throws its hat in the ring for Nino’s best song. With visceral, street-level vision, Nino details his come-up and problems in sharp detail over Finn Wigan and Mack Jamieson’s coarse beat work.

Equally, “Tell Me Why You Need Me” sees Nino tap into his vocal bag and serenade the track with a skippy, melodic delivery.

With five tracks and no filler in sight, Nino SLG really demonstrates why he’s among UK rap’s most exciting prospects. The EP sees the rhymer flex his musical prowess and rapping skills simultaneously: making Mirror Story a standout listen from front to back.
