Marvel Studios have gifted us with the full official trailer for their upcoming MCU series, Secret Invasion.
Due for release on Disney+ on June 21, this six-part series picks up on a story initially established in Captain Marvel when Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) stumbled across the shape-shifting alien race known as the Skrulls.
The Skrulls were a peaceful group in Captain Marvel but it appears as though they don’t all hold good intentions in Secret Invasion and Nick Fury is on a mission to stop them.
Also starring in the series is Emilia Clarke [Game of Thrones], Olivia Coleman [The Crown], Kingsley Ben-Adir [Peaky Blinders], and Ben Mendelsohn, who will be reprising his role as Talos from Captain Marvel.
The official synopsis for the series reads, “Marvel Studios’ Secret Invasion stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull Talos, characters who first met in Captain Marvel… The crossover event series showcases a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years.”
