It has been another monumental for Drake, having already broken numerous records and sold a ridiculous amount of music. Now, he’s capped it off with a major trophy… and we ain’t talking about Jennifer Lopez.
He has equalled the amount of number one records for a solo artist on the Billboard Hot 100 (that’s their official charts), ironically matching the record set by his Young Money mentor Lil Wayne.
Drizzy has equalled Tunechi’s 132 entries, putting them above the likes of Elvis Presley, James Brown and Jay-Z. The only artist with more hits – and we use the term lightly – is the Glee cast.
It was his latest collaboration with Gucci Mane, “Both”, which landed the 6 God the top spot with Wayne, which debuted at number 41 on the Hot 100.
All this comes after Drake’s fourth studio album, Views, became the first release to get a billion streams on Spotify, more than a billion on Apple Music and went quadruple platinum.
It must surely only be a matter of time until Drake tops Glee and becomes the all-time leader with the hits.
