Dave has done it. His mesmerising debut album Psychodrama has taken the number one spot, with just 200 units in it. After a huge push on social media this week from everyone in the scene, as well as Dave himself showing up in different cities across the country to sign physical copies, it’s all paid off.

This is a victory for the scene as a whole, and it shows that music with substance can sell, and that there is certainly a market for it.

The domination extended beyond the realms of the album charts, “Disaster” with J Hus grabbed the number eight spot with “Streatham” just behind at number nine. So as well as number one album, Dave also has two top ten singles and a whooping five top twenties.

Psychodrama is an album which is so rich in lyrical content, we had to have a crack at breaking down some of the standout lines – check out our collection of some of the hardest bars from the album right here.

Massive congratulations to Dave and his team on this monumental achievement
