Nicki Minaj’s ex-fiancé Safaree Samuels accuses her of trying to kill him in shocking new allegations.
The Love and Hip-Hop star wrote in tweets that the rapper stabbed him in 2014 and his injuries caused him to be hospitalised. He also added that he was the one to end the relationship and that he lied about the incident to prevent her arrest. TMZ claims to have proof of the “Chun-Li” rapper allegedly chasing Safaree with a knife in 2014.
Nicki fired back and accused her ex of stealing from her, purchasing a fake hairline and of asking her for money.
These accusations come after Nicki’s recent promo tour stop on New York’s iconic Hot 97 radio station. She sat down with DJ Funkmaster Flex for an hour and 20 minute long interview where the two hash out their differences and go in depth about her hip-hop inspirations, her time in the group Hoodstarz with Safaree in the early 2000s and his claims that he ghostwrote her raps. On claims that he wrote her material, Nicki said, “It’s so ironic to me because when we started the group, we all laughed at Safaree because he couldn’t rap”.
Nicki also claimed that Safaree stole her credit cards and cheated with prostitutes during their relationship.
This is not the first alleged incident of violence between the former couple. A police report was filed in 2011 after Safaree allegedly hit Minaj with a suitcase.
Nicki Minaj and Safaree ended their 14-year long relationship in 2014 and the breakup inspired numerous songs on her third album The Pinkprint. She later dated rapper Meek Mill.
Safaree has since gone on to pursue his own music career and star on reality television on Love and Hip-Hop: Hollywood and Love and Hip-Hop: New York.
