It’s smashed countless Box Office records and has been a certified favourite with fans and critics alike, and Black Panther still continues to make headlines.
The Marvel Studios movie has been recieving widely recieved plaudits for its black representation and progressive casting, as well as the fact it’s just one hell of a good film too. Now fans have been guaranteed a second visit to Wakanda, as president Kevin Feige reveals a sequel is already underway.
Feige told Entertainment Weekly, “Nothing specific to reveal [about the sequel], other than to say we absolutely will do that.
“One of the favourite pastimes at Marvel Studios is sitting around on a Part One and talking and dreaming about what we would do in a Part Two. There have been plenty of those conversations as we were putting together the first Black Panther. We have ideas and a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one.”
How about a spin off starring T’Challa’s sister, Shuri (voiced by breakout London born actress Letitia Wright), who stole the show with her performance? He didn’t rule it out, saying, “I think Shuri’s astounding, and you’ll see much more of her in our universe.”
There’s no plot details or any information of any sorts at this point, really, but stay tuned to GRM Daily for more updates. Perhaps Little Simz will finally get her dream casting in Black Panther 2?
