Professor Green and Not3s are coming together for a good cause, as the pair announce a show at Village Underground, due to take place on September 9th.
The show has been organised to raise money for Barts Charity’s Transform Trauma appeal and will mark Pro’s first headline London show in three years.
The gig is in aid of Transform Trauma, Barts Charity’s £1m appeal for trauma research and innovation to save the lives – and improve recoveries of – people affected by severe trauma. Trauma is the biggest cause of death and disability in young adults and a leading killer of all age groups. Trauma is physical injury to the body, commonly caused by violence, falls, terrorist acts, road accidents and self-harm.
Professor Green said of his involvement, “I’m excited to be supporting the Transform Trauma appeal. It’s been three years since my last headline gig and I can’t wait to get back in front of the fans.
“Trauma is something that I’ve had personal experience of but I didn’t realise how big the issue is – people don’t recognise being hit by a bus, stabbed, or caught up in a terrorist act as the same thing but they all result in traumatic injury.
“Every penny raised from the gig will be spent on trauma research and care – helping save the lives of the 17,000 people who die from trauma every single year.”
Fans can apply to get themselves and a friend on the guest list before midnight 19th August by texting WIN to 70660 and making a £5 donation to the Transform Trauma appeal. In addition, 5 lucky winners will get a VIP backstage Meet n Greet.
