In the internet age torrenting and file sharing has long been problematic for the music and film industries alike. But in recent years the prevalence of streaming sites like Spotify, Netflix and Amazon Prime have made it easier than ever to watch and listen to great music and films, but more importantly you won’t end up giving your computer cancer by clicking on a booky link.

Torrenting is perhaps less prevalent than it once was as £5 a month for Netflix subscription is an insignificant enough amount for most of us and most people would rather not risk the threat of legal action. However there are still many people who have bucked the trend and continue to remain loyal to the file sharing and torrenting community.

Recently a hacker going by the moniker “The Dark Overlord” reportedly breached security and obtained a number of episodes of the new season of Orange is the New Black and demanded that a ransom payment or the episodes will be leaked online. Whoever this guy is definitely things Netflix have done him dirty somehow. Netflix have yet to speak on the situation.
