Happy Yeezy Day!
Tonight, there’ll be crowds of Yeezy-heads flocking to the nearest Vue/Odeon cinema to get that sneak peak of Kanye’s latest album ‘T.L.O.P.’.
And boy, what a journey it’s been. If you haven’t been able to keep up with the switches of names, tracks and Kanye rants then fear not, we’ve broken it down for you below.
To kick off 2015, in true Yeezy fashion, Kanye dropped a surprise track titled, “Only One”, featuring Beatles’ Paul McCartney. Soon after, he released “FourFiveSeconds“, his 2nd collaboration with McCartney, with vocals from Rihanna. From both these tracks it would seem that Kanye was taking a very different direction with his upcoming album…
But then came that BRIT’s performance of “All Day”, and all Kanye-related panic was over;
SO HELP ME GOD
On March 1, 2015 , Kanye West unveiled the title to his seventh studio album. Breaking his Twitter silence, he used the platform to tell his fans the much anticipated album would be called, ‘So Help Me God’.

SWISH
Then May 3rd came along…..

With 2 changes of album-titles, but still no release date, we were all left a little confused.
But sticking to his New Years tradition, on 1st January this year, Kanye dropped, “FACTS“, a track which not-so-subtly reminded us of his beef with Nike, and plan to run in the 2020 elections (oh Kanye!).
To show us this was a family affair, wife Kim Kardashian casually reminded us that G.O.O.D Fridays was returning….

“No More Parties in LA” and “Real Friends” followed, giving us a taste of Kanye West circa ‘College Dropout’.

After proclaiming it as, “the best album of all time”, it would seem that Kanye was done and we’d finally get our mits on ‘SWISH’. Okay, this is where it gets complicated.
WAVES
Not one to comply with rules,West swiftly changed the name of the album to ‘WAVES’. And followed up with the below altered track-list, adorn with tags from the likes of Swizz Beats, Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian.

Cue the the Wiz/Amber/Kanye Twitter beef (need a catch up on this? Click here) . Kim tried to help her ever-indecicive husband out by running a Twitter poll on her page….

So it would seen that the fans had spoken and ‘So Help Me God’ was the most popular album name. Case closed right? Wrong.

With a new album title and just a few days to go before the 11th Feb release, Kanye decided to string us along once more, this time offering a competition; figure out what the acronym ‘T.L O.P’ stands for and win a pair of Yeezy’s and tickets to Season 3 of his clothing collection.

THE LIFE OF PABLO
And then the moment came; this morning- a mere few hours before his premier- Kanye released the final set list for ‘T.L.O.P’ aka ‘The Life Of Pablo’.

Tired? Confused? Lost? Don’t worry, hang in there…just a few hours to go before the album drops. Lets hope it lives up to our expectations.
