After announcing the re-opening of its drive-thru lanes in the UK last week, McDonald’s have now revealed the list of drive-thrus which have opened today (May 20).
The official McDonald’s Twitter account unveiled the list in a tweet, writing: We are reopening 39 Drive Thru lanes across the UK and ROI.
“These Drive Thru pilot restaurants were all chosen as they are close to one of our distribution centres as we continue to prepare our supply chain for reopening.”
McDonald’s closed of all of its branches in March due to the coronavirus pandemic but has been slowly began to open some of its doors again in recent times.
The re-opening of drive-thrus serves as phase 2 of McDonald’s re-opening strategy, following phase 1 in which some of its branches re-opened for delivery only with a limited menu.
The fast food chain recently revealed it “aims to reopen all Drive Thrus by early June.”
