The single still holds the soulful and charismatic charm that his fans know all too well; however, “Proud Of You” gifts us a sense of evolution to the artist’s sound. The vocals drop into the song instantly and run with a jumpy and melodic style and flows really well through the entirety of the single.
The production on the beat holds a really complex, but subtle drum pattern that adds emphasis to the vocal style. The melody of the instruments unfolds delicately, again keeping true focus to Kojey’s lyrics.
