Pornhub is releasing its first ever non-adult movie, Shakedown.
The hour-long documentary will take a more informative perspective on sex and will look at the Los Angeles lesbian strip club scene in the early 2000’s.
Shakedown will be free to watch throughout March, and then will head to TV through the Criterion Channel as well as ending up on iTunes in the summer.
There’s even a devoted “home” section for the movie where people can watch the project and talk about it. The virtual space is meant to both appeal more to women and let people be “alone, together.”
Pornhub’s brand director, Alex Klein, told Variety: “We’ve seen artists in general upload content to the site, that might not have a home at places like YouTube or Vimeo, who don’t permit nudity. For us, premiering a feature length film is a first. We’re very excited about it.”
