Suspect arrested after fatal shooting of Smoke Dawg

Police have arrested a suspect over the 2018 fatal shooting of Toronto hailing rapper Smoke Dawg.

 

The Canadian rapper was killed last year in June after multiple shots were fired outside of a nightclub in Toronto.

 

The rapper’s untimely death led to an outpouring of grief from his hometown and the artist is widely missed by many. The artist was closely affiliated with Drake’s OVO Sound label and also frequently collaborated with several UK artists including Skepta, AJ Tracey and Giggs. 

 

On Friday, Toronto police announced that he had arrested a 23-year-old named Abdulkadir Handule in connection with the tragic incident which also took the life of Smoke Dawg’s brand manager Ernest Modekwe.

 

The police are still searching for a second suspect in relation to this crime however In the meantime, Abdulkadir is expected to appear in court this September.
