Nike are reportedly joining forces with Nintendo to release a new Airmax 97 range totally inspired by Nintendo’s N64.
With both the Air Max 97 and N64 being released in the same era and in fact within months of each other, a nostalgic collaboration between the two is long overdue.
The shoe reflects the controller in its entirety, pulling on the memorable colour pallet: grey, red, yellow, green and blue. Other small details include a power label on the tongue of the trainers and the Air Max text reworked in the Nintendo’s classic font.
Although Nike are yet to confirm the range, the Nintendo head hunchos have stated there will be no comeback for the classic console.
