A Spanish football club formerly known as Mostoles Balompie has decided to change its name to Flat Earth FC, according to reports.
The name change was made by the club’s president Javi Poves who is a supporter of the ‘flat earth’ theory which rejects the common belief that the world is not round but flat.
In a video in which the news of the rebranding was announced, Poves said: “We are a professional football club in the Spanish fourth tier and we are born to unite the voices of millions of flat earth movement followers and all those people who are looking for answers..
As well as presenting a new logo for the club, Poves has also made a new kit for the team which can be viewed on the Flat Earth FC website.
