Skepta’s fifth studio album Ignorance Is Bliss has gone straight to number two in the album charts this week.
Skepta’s last album Konnichiwa which was released in 2016 charted at the same position in its first week. His track with J Hus from the album, “What Do You Mean”, has debuted at number 14, which is Skeppy’s fifth top 20 track.
“Greaze Mode” which features Nafe Smallz has shot up 29 places to number 18 after being at number 47. This means Skepta currently has two tracks in the top 20 right now. Another track from the album that is in the charts is “Bullet From A Gun” which sits at number 32. This week also marked Skepta’s debut Colours performance, which you can check out here.
Mostack and Stormzy’s track “Shine Girl” debuts at number 15 this week which may slide down the charts in the next couple of weeks following the release of Mostack’s debut album Stacko which has landed just in time for summer. To celebrate the release of Mostack’s debut album, we released a series of feature pieces on Mostack’s hardest bars, coldest tunes and his career journey so far.
Mo’s track “Wild” which is taken from Stacko is in the charts at number 60. Stormzy’s “Vossi Bop” is also a non-mover at number four after three weeks in the charts.
Looking at the top 20, Dave’s “Location” which features Burna Boy is a non-mover at 12 and “Keisha and Becky” from Russ and Tion Wayne is at number 19. Tion Wayne is also at number 81 with his feature with NSG on “Options”. NSG are also at number 26 with their summer banger “OT Bop”. Watch the visuals to “OT Bop” here.
This week has seen the release of a remix for AJ Tracey’s “Ladbroke Grove” which consists of the man himself who is joined by General Levy and Novelist. B Young has also released a new track “Gucci Demo” and Young T and Bugsy have teamed up with Aitch for “Strike A Pose”; all of which should be seen in the charts very soon.
