Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez is set to make his film debut in the upcoming film, Mi Amigo Alexis.
The film was released in the United forward’s home nation of Chile yesterday (May 30) and tells the story of a 12-year-old boy who meets his idol, Sanchez.
The synopsis for the film reads: “The unexpected friendship between the child and the idol brings teachings for both: Tito discovers his true path in life and Alexis is reunited with the stories from his childhood that make him remember the reason why he loves football.”
Of Sanchez, the executive producer of the film said the footballer is a “hero” and everyone in Chile “loves him”.
Since moving to Manchester United from Arsenal last year, Alexis Sanchez has suffered with injuries and has only scored one goal this season but hopefully he has more luck in the world of film!
