Tech giant Apple, according to sources, is following in Tesla’s footsteps, as reports have revealed that the company is delving into the automotive industry and are creating a self-driving car.

To build autonomous driving chips for self-driving Apple vehicles, Apple has teamed up with TSMC, a Taiwanese company that manufactures semiconductors.

As TSMC has manufactured the A-series chips used in the iPhone and iPad as well as the latest Apple Silicon chips used in the Mac, Apple and TSMC already have a history.

Tesla has also been reported to be working closely with TSMC, and the Apple car model will be ‘Tesla-like.’

Sources say that Apple expects its vehicles to be released in 2024-2025.
