DJ Semtex Launches Brand-New Podcast ‘Hip-Hop Raised Me’

The icon that is DJ Semtex is launching a brand-new podcast titled Hip-Hop Raised Me.

Sharing the same name as his 2016 book, the Hip-Hop Raised Me podcast will see Semtex engage in “no holds-barred conversations” with a number of prominent names from the world of hip-hop.

Of the podcast, DJ Semtex said: “These are in depth conversations with artists across the globe, no agenda. New cutting-edge artists. A-list artists. Architects of sound. Moguls. Icons.

“Hip Hop is now the biggest artform of this generation. It is the rock and roll of the youth, a genre that transcends race and culture, this it isn’t going to stop anytime soon.” 

The launch of Semtex’s new podcast comes following his hosting gig for Spotify’s Who We Be Talks. In addition to hosting a show on Capital XTRA at current, Semtex is also Sony Music UK’s director of artist development.

Hip-Hop Raised Me will kick off on January 11 and will feature an interview with Public Enemy’s Chuck D.

The podcast will be available on all major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Stitcher.
