Rap icon Nines has made a very rare podcast appearance on JD’s In The Duffle Bag podcast with Chuckie Online.
The chat begins with Nines discussing his creative process, discussing how his slick chat and honest team help him musically, as well as the thought-process behind making his hit single “I See You Shining”. Later on we hear Nines open up on how his past experiences sparked his ambition, his earlier mixtapes, success, survivor’s guilt and more.
During the middle of the chat, however, Nines makes an announcement that will upset fans as he says he will be retiring from music in 2022.
“I’m out of this s**t man”, Nines says to Chuckie, “I’m dropping my last album next year”.
