Kanye West and Adidas sold Yeezy’s at lemonade stands across America in support of mental health awareness.

Kanye and Adidas supplied several families with the highly sought after Yeezy Boost 700 V2’s in Geode and all proceeds and profits went to charity.

Kanye made the event a family affair and called on several members of the Kardashian/Jenner family to assist at his own lemonade stand which he set up along with Kim Kardashian in Los Angeles.

Other lemonade stands were seen in several states including Texas, Ohio and Illinois.

The Yeezy Boost 700 V2’s in Geode were sold at the lemonade stands yesterday before their global release today and the new design mixes grey and brown leather in Yeezy’s unique Earth tone aesthetic.

Kim Kardashian announced the venture on Twitter yesterday.

Kim said, “In the continued spirit of bringing people & families together, the brand has selected unexpected locations for the stands to connect with communities throughout the country. All proceeds made via the stands will be donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organisation dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.”

The new venture comes after Kanye’s recent public and honest struggle with his own mental health. Ye tweeted last year, “No one would ever choose to end up in a mental hospital and diagnosed with a mental disorder but God chose me to publicly go through this journey and it is beautiful”.
