Arsenal have had the same owner (and the same manager) for a large number of years now, something that’s becoming less and less common in the modern game.

They could be heading for a shake up soon however, as Africa’s richest man has declared that he wants to buy the club within the next four years.

Aliko Dangote is a Nigerian billionaire and he shared the news during a recent TV interview over in America. He said, “It’s not about buying Arsenal and just continuing with business as usual.

“It’s about buying Arsenal and turning it around. I’ve run a very successful business and I think I can also run a very successful team.”

“Buying Arsenal will take the Nigerian flag worldwide. Just like whenever Abramovich is mentioned, the name of his country, Russia comes up. Everyone knows he’s Russian,” he finished.

Dangote is worth an estimated $12.9 billion, meaning finances aren’t exactly a major issue for him. Perhaps with his investment, Arsenal will finally buy a striker?
