Akelle Charles, 1/3 of WSTRN today released a new track entitled “Feel My Pain ReVamp”. Well, we say new, but the original ‘Feel My Pain’ was released back in 2012 when Akelle [then known as A Star] recorded the track and video with his brother, R&B singer Angel.
The original dealt with Akelle telling his story of life on the roads and how he wants to simply live a life of music. In light of the recent success of WSTRN, it makes total sense to revisit one of his classic tracks and bring it up to date.
As mentioned before, WSTRN’s debut track “In2” became a summer anthem, which saw them signed to Atlantic Records, get an all star remix from the likes of Chip, Geko and Wretch 32 and reach #5 in the Official UK Charts. It’s no secret that the hard work put in behind the scenes to get WSTRN to where they are is incredible and “Feel My Pain ReVamp” almost feels like Akelle kicking back and realisng what the trio have done in such a short space of time. The track handles Akelle’s current situation head on with the opening lines;
“I cant believe it, I’m living exactly what I was dreaming.”
